Pencil a movie in the back drop of school. Siva Played by (G.V.Prakash) is the tiop scorer in the school and done thesis and was about to submmit,  fellow student (New comer Shariq Haasan)who  is a son of Super star Artiste,tells him that the thesis was destroyed by fire, Sharig a fellow student who is  bad in character like fixing camera in the School bathroom and blackmail others,  Shariq is angry with Siva because he comes first in all subject and he try to take a vengeance with Siva. there were  several petty fights between them .Priya who is also a student of the same school, she is a  daughter of a Police commissioner and she loves to read and can be seen her regularly  in the library. , Siva try to impress her in the library,   Siva loves Sridiya , but she rejects his love, Later when she comes to know that Siva is an innocent and good in character she too falls in love. Siva shock to see Shariq Hassan found murdered in his class room.  Priya comes to help Siva, He tells Siva that the murderer was used pencil as instrument to kill him, Priya never suspect Siva because she knows that he will not be a murderer, So Siva and Priya try to trace the real murder, The murder was take place when the school was in inspection to get ISO. There are some incident happens with master who wants to take revenge, the other was a student who got slap in front of his lover and he wants to take revenge and adriver too. The movie goes on suspence and thrill are maintained till end and there is a twist in the end which no one can guess. Running  school is made as  business now , with competion to prove its best to grab students . Songs are catchy,

T.P.Gajendran as school principle, Urvasi comes as Director of  Education department to check the school for giving the school ISO certificate, The scene is handled with comedy along with VTV Ganesh.Pencil even thou it came late to theaters, pencil never disapointed. Mani Nagaraj has well handled the plot of Pencil.
