CURTAIN RAISER -A sequel to Pacific Rim (2013, directed by Guillermo del Toro), this flick marks the directorial debut of Steven S. DeKnight with most of the main players returning to their original roles, the theme of which was set in the future, when Earth was at war with the Kaiju colossal sea monsters which had emerged from an inter dimensional portal on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean! The visual effects, action sequences, and nostalgic style of that film were highly applauded!
SYNOPSIS – Ten after the Battle of the Breach, the oceans have become restless once again as fresh danger looms large! Something strange has set in to reopen the Breach for the Kaiju and a Jaeger has gone rogue. Jake Pentecost, son of Stacker Pentecost, rises up to stand against the evolved Kaiju and the rogue Jaeger to prevent humanity’s extinction and preserve his father’s legacy.
The film deliberates on the battle between the human-piloted super machines built and the monsters from the other world out to destroy the humans!

John Boyega(Jake Pentecost) is a pilot who has changed ways and is currently caught up with the underworld! But the moment he realizes that now a bigger enemy force has emerged when compared with the enemies his father had fought with to save the community, John joins his estranged sister, Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi) who is now leading a brave new generation of pilots! John has one last chance now to live up to his dad’s legacy and hence opts to unite in a global uprising against the destructive enemies! John is joined by another pilot, Nate Lambert (Scott Eastwood) & Amara Namani (Cailee Spaeny). Together, they become the most powerful defense force, setting the course for a spectacular all new adventure on towering proportions!
